- wearing a cap usually associated with Fidel Castro Cuban
- Revolutionary Leader that was adopted by the Free
- Wales Army. Robert when I first met him was a
- leading light of young Rhondda patriots who then were
- much taken up more by the FWA Cayo Evans than
- Plaid Cymru Gwynfor Evans. Rhobert had taken up
- course at Pencoed Agricultural College but later went into
- Teachers Training and in time became an Art Teacher,
- married and settled in Llangadog also home to Gwynfor
- Evans and not so far from Lampeter where resided Cayo
- Evans. Roberrt was a close acquaintence of both but
- became a 'Plaid Man' rather than continue towards
- becoming an FWA Volunteer or othrerwise. He was also
- along with others of the Young Nationalist Association
- to become a keen supporter of CyIG and the 'Sixties'
- language campaigning. However, he was also to the

- information on which is provided below, inc the night

Rhobert remained all his political life a supporter ofPlaid Cymru and CyIG cultural nationalist organisationsand never at any time a true political AlternativeNationalist by means of membership of organisationswhich he himself believed were a meaningless wouldbe Political Patriotic Fringe. This however, did notmean that Rhobert was not in support of certainfavoured Alternative Nationalist Causes and campaigns, particularly as noted above that against the Investiturein 1969. Rhobert was also a keen supporter of Cofiwn'sCymric Consciousness Campaigning as against Sarhad'83and was well known as an active Welsh History Enthusiastwho did much in this area. As well Rhobert was not as manyPlaidwyr fearful of freindship with radical and militantAlternative Nationalists or attending annual rallies associatedwith the Patriotic Fringe as the annual Rali Cilmeri, see blog
link below and note the Patriot Roll Call to which now sadlyRhobert's name will be added and with others read out atRali Cilmeri hence.
